  1. Dear Thiam Hock,
I read your lates article about the big C. Have you tried what people talk about starving the cells of sugar, red meat and mucous? Or soak in alkaline environment? How about the much talked about asparagus or sweet potatoes?
Hope you try all options that you hear. I expect to read your articles for many more years to come. May your soul be blessed and best wishes.

  2. Hello Mr Tan,

It is now the end of 2017 and I found your article on ‘Mutual Respect is a Key Ingredient for Business’ when seeking an article to sit alongside my own on the subject of Gravitas and Mutual Respect. I write an article each month on a Business Relationship Theme and share the two with my audience. In a month or two, the theme is Peer to Peer Relationships. If you are happy for me to do this, your support would be appreciated. I hope it will bring additional readers to your interesting and balanced views on life and business.
    Thank you.

  3. Mr Tan, I must admit I’d never heard of you until I heard you speak to some young entrepreneurs at an event in Sentul some weeks ago. I must have been the only other “head full of grey” person besides you and another elderly gentleman seated in front of me who could relate to the days of faxes and hard work.

Your story is inspiring. I hope you’ll be invited to speak at many other events.

Unfortunately I don’t read the newspapers these days. So I am glad I chanced upon your blog today. I look forward to more interesting insights from you.

    1. Hi Carl

I am holding back on investment in properties. In fact I am slowing down one development project while waiting for further reactions to Brexit. Confidence is low and looks like continuous loss of confidence into we can see some positive reactions from Theresa May and her cabinet.

Just met Tan Sri Liew of Ecoworld a few days ago and he told me that since the Pound depreciated by almost 20%, sales to foreigners 9non UK) have been relatively strong. So there you go, a silver lining amongst heavy clouds!

  5. MrTan, I like to read your articles among others
especially on “qualities of a successful CEO” appeared in the STAR on 4-7-2015. A wake up call or rather a reminder to all CEOs, direct to the points under current economic and political environments.

Can share the business plan with you if required.
    Thank you.

  7. Dear Mr Tan, just a plain “thank you” for caring enough to share your experience and wisdom. Am at a point in life where I have to make decisions as to where I should go, career wise. Your articles have been one source where I would refer to, especially on going it alone. Would love to meet you in person to tap your wisdom on this – have you considered doing a meet-the-fans session 😉

  8. Sir- I’ve always found your articles insightful and to the point. Although I may not entirely agree with you on all matters, your viewpoints are always laced with a good dose of humilty which I find very refreshing and palatable indeed. In this day and age, when humilty seems to ,have lost its virtue, you stand out like a beacon. Keep writing!

  9. I was wondering if you can consider writing about the economics of relationships, and between business and personal. For example, what characteristics are valued by businesses and people in today society, e.g. youth, beauty, character etc. Also your advice for a young man whether he should consider marriage in today’s society, if so what are the precautions, and advice for a young woman, to survive in today’s world.

  12. Mr.Tan your articles are truly enjoyable to read. I was wondering about what actions would you take if you notice your company is being biased between a physically capable person and a hearing impaired person during an interview? Not entirely loss of hearing.

    1. Dear Mr. Tan
I have always enjoyed your insightful articles. Despite being a man stricken with cancer your thoughts are much clearer than most leaders we have who are in best of health.
I really liked you article today on the culture of delayed payments, financial mismanagement of gigantic scale & the fate of the small entrepreneurs & we tax payers.
Wish we had people like you in the think tanks which mostly functions like empty tanks.
Hope you could write a book soon & wish you a speedy recovery.
      Regards
